eBay: Thank you for calling eBay customer service. This is Christy. Who am I speaking to?

Yamamoto: This is Takaaki Yamamoto. I am calling on behalf of Yusuke Suzuki.

eBay: Ok. Is Yusuke available to verify his identity?

Yamamoto: Yes, he is. Hold on a second.

Suzuki: Hello,

eBay: Hello. This is Christy from eBay. How are you today?

Suzuki: I am fine, thank you.

eBay: Good. For security purposes, I will ask you several questions. May I have your first and last name?

Suzuki: My name is Yusuke Suzuki.

eBay: Ok, and address on your account please?

Suzuki: ○○○, Osaka, Japan

eBay: And your postal code, please?

Suzuki: 543-xxxx

eBay: I have confirmed your identity. Do you give me a permission to speak with Takaaki on your account today?

Suzuki: Yes.

eBay: Thank you. Takaaki, how can I help you today on this account?

Yamamoto: We would like to know if you can increase his monthly selling limits.

eBay: Ok. Looks like we increased your limits last month.. Yes, we can definitely help you increase the limits today. Did any one explain to you why we have limits and how they work?

Yamamoto: Yes, your customer agent explained about the limits last time.

eBay: Perfect. Tell me about the types of items you are listing.

Yamamoto: Our main products are character toys, consumer electronics and gaming software.

eBay: Great. Where do you get these items from?

Yamamoto: Mostly, they are from local retailers and some are from internet shops.

eBay: Alright. Do you take your own photos?

Yamamoto: Half of them are taken by ourselves and half of them are generic photos from other websites.

eBay: Ok, no problem. Do you use PayPal as a primary means to receive payments?

Yamamoto: Yes.

eBay: How many days does it take for you to ship an item once the payment is cleared?

Yamamoto: We ship an item within 1 to 3 days after receiving the payment.

eBay: Perfect. I will take a look at your account and see what I can do for you with your limits. Would you mind if I put you on hold for a minuet or two?

Yamamoto: Not at all. Thank you so much.

eBay: Thank you for waiting. Everything looks good. You have 100 percent positive feedback, DSRs are 5 and 4.9 out of 5, no unresolved open case. You want more of a dollar amount than quantity, right? I will bump up the dollar amount to 26,000, and number of items to 650.

Yamamoto: Ok, thank you. Can you hold on for a minute? I will tell Yusuke about the new limits.

eBay: Sure, go ahead.

Yamamoto: Thank you for waiting, Christy. He is happy about the new limits but we wonder if you can further increase the dollar amount a little bit?

eBay: No, we cannot offer more than 26,000 dollar based on his selling performance.

Yamamoto: I see. The amount and quantity are not well balanced because the average listing price is about 60 dollars. Will it be possible to trade the dollar amount with the number of items? We don't mind having a lower number of items but want to have a little higher dollar amount.

eBay: Sure, we can definitely adjust the limits. Just a moment.. if we decrease the quantity down to 550, you will have 27,500 dollars.

Yamamoto: I see. If you further decrease the number of items down to 500, can you increase the dollar amount some more?

eBay: With 500 items.. we can give you 28,300 dollars.

Yamamoto: Thank you. That would better suit his needs. I will just confirm with him. please hold.

eBay: Ok. Take your time.

Yamamoto: Thank you for waiting. He prefers 500 items and 28,300 dollars. We are very happy with the new limits. We appreciate it a lot.

eBay: You are welcome. I am glad you like the new limits. I will send you confirmation email and the new limits will be available in 5 to 10 min. Do you have any questions?

Yamamoto: No. everything is clear.

eBay: Good. You are welcome to call us back after 30 days. We are more than happy to increase your limits if you are performing well. Thank you for calling eBay today. You have a great day!

Yamamoto: Thank you. You too, have a great day! Take care. Bye-bye.

eBay: Thank you, bye-bye.
